Vancouver Giants - Game Day

Feb 25 was Milan Lucic Alumni night for the Vancouver Giants ( www.vancouvergiants.com) and I was there.  Earlier in the month I met with Stuart Ballantyne, chief operating officer for the Giants and asked him if I could photograph a "day in the life.." of a game day for the Giants. He agreed and we decided that Milan Lucic night would be a great day for me to shoot.  Yes I do like hockey, especially the leagues just below the NHL When I lived in Nanaimo I was, for a couple of years, team photographer for the Nanaimo Clippers (www.nanaimoclippers.com). It was that involvement that made me appreciate what goes into a successful hockey team. The game its self is a part of it but there is so much more. If you have never been to a Giants game (Western hockey League) or to any of the BCHL games you should try them, these players are the NHL players of tomorrow.Thanks Stuart and all the Giants staff, volunteers, and Pacific Coliseum staff for being so open, friendly and helpful!Lots of photos here.. please enjoy
