Meet... Siobhan Devine
I met Siobhan a few years ago during a photo shoot. What a lovely person, always smiling and sharing. This year she was one of the Women in Film and Television Vancouver's Spotlight Image Award recipients. Siobhan emailed me about the photo shoot for the award and asked if she could bring along her daughters, since they are the reason she does just about everything.Thank you for taking part Siobhan you have 2 amazing daughters!Who am I? I am a mom, a partner, a friend and a dreamer.
What do I do? Right now I work in sitcom land as a director and camera coordinator meaning I get to make TV in front of a live audience every week! In between paying gigs I get to express myself by making my own movies.
Why do I do what I do? I am probably the luckiest person alive as I am currently living the life I dreamed about when I was a kid. I love to tell stories and I love to entertain - how else would I get to do that?

What inspires me? Life is too short and too precious to waste waiting for stuff to happen.
Siobhan's Bio from the Women in Film Spotlight awards post: Women in Film
Siobhan's career has taken her from theatre to film to television. In 2012, Siobhan directed the short film OMG, a 10-min comedy about a teenager, a grandma and a cellphone. OMG is an inter-generational film about a 14-year old who thinks she’s at the top of the food chain when it comes to being misunderstood. When her parents become totally unreasonable about her hair, wardrobe and nearly 6000 texts per month, Kaylee turns to the one person who always understood her – G-Ma.
