Maria

Maria called to book session, she shared with me what was happening in her life and wondered if I would do some portraits for her to have.. for herself. Yes.. I said absolutely. Portraits, to me, tell the story of a person, one moment in time, a glimpse of who they are, how they are feeling, and what they wish to share at that time. My experiences have lead me to believe there is a power in the process of creating portraits, the collaboration between 2 people, Trust, vulnerability, connection, and healing. I am truly humbled and grateful when people choose to open themselves to me during a session, and that is exactly what Maria did. One the day of the session, She was having a “not so great day” and was going to cancel, but a good friend of her’s said just do it! We had a wonderful time creating and sharing in the studio. Maria’s story is her’s to tell, and I’m very honoured she chose to share herself and her story with me.
