The underwear project was one of my very first projects. I was living at the ARC, surrounded by incredible artists, learning what art was. I was a photographer but I hadn’t any training in The Arts. My arts education came from my neighbours, their discussions, their work, their parties :) There were a couple of artists who inspired me to learn more, I’m ever so grateful for all they gave me:

They encouraged me when I came up with the silly idea of photographing women in their worst underwear. I put a call out asking women to stop by and be photographed.  I had a filmmaker approach me to document the whole project. It was fun.  The video played on CBC’s national late-night arts show ZeD.
